Hi and welcome to our church family. We are Pastor Mike & Pam Buie and are originally from Texas. God certainly has a sense of humor by allowing Mike to serve a congregation full of Sooner fans. Mike graduated from the University of Texas in 1975 and pursued graduate studies at North Texas State University. Pam pursued both her graduate and master’s degree from Stephen F. Austin University. Prior to coming to Sand Springs, Mike served as an associate pastor at two different churches in Texas, and Pam was a teacher for many years in the public schools.

We came here in 1989, and it’s been a wonderful and exciting journey. Not only were our two children born here, but it’s been so very fulfilling to see the Lord at work among His people. Lives have been changed. Meaningful friendships have been formed. People have learned to walk in the truth of God’s Word and experience life as it is meant to be lived. The church has become a vibrant, healthy, and mission oriented congregation. If the future is anything like the past, it’s going to be great. We certainly believe that the best is yet to come.

Hi, we are Pastor Daryl and Katherine Latta. Katherine and I have been married since 1981 and we have three children Daron, Darek, and Kailynn. I am a graduate of Rhema Bible Training Center and have also completed courses needed to be licensed with the Assemblies of God. I have served as youth pastor for churches in Ramona, Oklahoma as well as in Tulsa. Katherine and I also helped to pioneer and pastor a new church in Jenks, Oklahoma. We have been attending Cathedral of Praise since 1996 and I was privileged to become a part of the Pastoral Staff in September of 2006 serving as the Pastor of Congregational Life. My goal is to help each person attending Cathedral of Praise find a place to where they are loving God, loving people, and serving others.

Hello.  I am Danette Dillon and I am so happy to be able to serve you.  I grew up in Bixby, Oklahoma, where I was involved in ministry as a Missionette teacher, praise team member, and Children’s director.  These ministry experiences helped me to grow in the Lord and provided several wonderful mentoring relationships.  After graduating high school in 2001, I went to Central Bible College majoring in Vocal Performance and in Church Music.  I traveled with two ministry teams in the college, HeartSong and Floodgate.  They proved to be valuable experiences that I will never forget.  After graduating from college in 2006, I returned to Tulsa to travel, sing, and preach the Word of God while exploring the wonderful wide world of retail.  Now, I’m here at Cathedral of Praise striving to help you enter into the presence of, and understand more fully, our mighty God through the use of creative arts.

Paul Williams and Roger Nichols once wrote a song: “Before the rising sun we fly, so many roads to choose, we start our walking and learn to run…We've only just begun.”  It’s true.  We have only just begun.  We’ve only just begun to experience the fullness of God’s power.  We’ve only just begun to know Him.  We’ve only just begun to understand our potential in Him.  Let’s learn to run together!

Hi, my name is Jennifer Ashford. My husband Dennis and I are Oklahomans, growing up in the Sapulpa area were we now reside and raise our 2 wonderful children. I have attended Cathedral of Praise since 1990. I graduated from ORU in 1999 with a Christian Education degree. Upon graduating from ORU I began teaching in the private school system and continued in that career until we had our first child.
